iPhone/iTouch/iPod to Computer Transfer

iPhone/iTouch/iPod to Computer Transfer is a backup tool. It allows you to back up the files on your Apple devices to your computer.

The application automatically indexes all the files that it finds on an iPod or iPhone by artist, song name, genre, etc., so you can use the search field to copy those to your hard drive. At first, this app only allowed you to back up music, but it now supports movie files and even photos.

iPhone/iTouch/iPod to Computer Transfer requires iTunes to work, which is an extra download. However, if you are an iPod/iPhone user, chances are that you already have this.

You will notice that the user interface is very similar to that of iTunes, and this is a good thing, since you intuitively know where to find your files and how to operate the app.

Using the application is very easy. You can connect several devices at once, but are only allowed to browse one at the time. Simply select the iPod that you want to work with and then find the songs that you want to back up to your system. You can also back up the entire music library to your computer.

Since iPhone/iTouch/iPod to Computer Transfer uses iTunes as its engine, you can play your music without a third-party player.

All in all, this application supports most iPods and iPhones out there and it is easy to use and it works well. However, the fact that it requires iTunes and that there are applications that do the same thing for cheaper or even for free makes it hard for me to think about buying it.
